Reducir esta pr\u00e1ctica es imperativo\u00bb, advirti\u00f3 la ministra de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible, Susana Muhamad, en una destacada intervenci\u00f3n\u200b durante la plenaria oficial de la Presidencia de la COP28.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>La plenaria ovacion\u00f3 el discurso de la ministra Susana Muhamad, quien pidi\u00f3 discusiones abiertas para la participaci\u00f3n de todas las partes e hizo un llamado sobre el modelo financiero actual.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cFelicitaciones, Susana. El m\u00e1s fuerte aplauso para Colombia en la COP28\u201d, resalt\u00f3 el presidente Gustavo Petro Urrego en su cuenta de la red X\u200b.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>En su intervenci\u00f3n, la ministra invit\u00f3 a incrementar la ambici\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica de los pa\u00edses; establecer compromisos serios sobre la no proliferaci\u00f3n de combustibles f\u00f3siles y la necesidad imperiosa de sacar adelante el canje de deuda por acci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica para pa\u00edses vulnerables al cambio clim\u00e1tico, llamado que fue respaldado por todos los asistentes con una amplia ovaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n hizo un llamado sobre la importancia de alinear los sistemas financieros para poder dar cumplimiento a los objetivos del Acuerdo de Par\u00eds y permitir la Transici\u00f3n Energ\u00e9tica Justa.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cLes pedimos respetuosamente a las naciones que se comprometan con la reducci\u00f3n de combustibles f\u00f3siles y con los compromisos de 2030 para la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones\u201d, puntualiz\u00f3 la ministra Muhamad.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>De acuerdo con la titular de la cartera de Ambiente, la situaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica de Colombia se ve afectada por la ambici\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica, con amenazas de reducci\u00f3n en la calificaci\u00f3n crediticia, por lo que en la plenaria enfatiz\u00f3 que la ambici\u00f3n no debe castigarse y hace un llamado solidario a realizar el cambio de combustibles f\u00f3siles, buscando inclusi\u00f3n en todas las conversaciones sin salas cerradas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Llamado por el canje de deuda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En el marco de la COP28, la ministra Muhamad particip\u00f3 en el \u2018The Forest &amp; Climate Leaders\u2019 Partnership\u2019, liderado por John Kerry, enviado presidencial especial de los Estados Unidos para el Clima.<\/p>\n<p>En este espacio demand\u00f3 incluir en la agenda la discusi\u00f3n sobre el canje de deuda por acci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica, consider\u00e1ndolo una oportunidad fundamental para empoderar a Colombia en su liderazgo hacia una acci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica integral.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cNo podemos salvar los bosques sin acciones concretas. Proponemos el canje de deuda por acci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica y queremos hacerlo realidad. Colombia y Kenya buscan crear una comisi\u00f3n de expertos para analizar la deuda.
